After helping a dying eagle deity, the Hunter is gifted with a reborn eagle that expands their move set, empowering them to defeat the Godslayer. Players control a Hunter who ventures to an island to defeat the Godslayer, an evil being who is corrupting the gods. The Pathless does not place much emphasis on its story. We want to hear from you! Take the ultimate Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 survey now. While The Pathless isn’t a flawless experience, it’s a bite-sized Breath of the Wild that anyone can enjoy. There’s a satisfying twist on the familiar archery mechanic, and doing away with the world map that has become standard in modern open-world games is a brave step forward It even offers some unique interpretations of the same formula. The Pathless emphasizes player choice and immersive world design, but on a much more bite-sized scale. Any exploration that comes after is the icing on the cake. A completionist playthrough of Breath of the Wild can take upwards of 200 hours, but you can beat The Pathless in just five hours. Nintendo has deemed this style of open-world game “open air,” and we’re starting to see more games of this style pop up, like Genshin Impact and Immortals Fenyx Rising. While the endpoint is predetermined, the journey there makes for an adventure that’s unique for every player. Near the beginning of both games, players are set loose in a large world and asked to explore it with only a few end goals in mind. If The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wildwas too daunting in scope for you, The Pathless will be much more appealing.

The ability to add rail sections as needed, provides the basis for customization and task specific adaptations down the line. The installed rail looks slick, and handles well. After sliding the rail back on to the barrel nut, we align the top of the rail with the top rail of the upper receiver and torque the six socket screws to the appropriate torque spec. The 1.47″ inside diameter provides plenty of space for a gas block to be installed beneath the hand guard. In this case we are using a mid-length gas system. After the barrel is tightened we reinstalled the gas tube and gas block. The holes must index on the gas tube slot when the barrel is fully torqued. We used an adjustable wrench to tighten the nut to the prescribed torque specification. The barrel nut is then threaded hand-tight. After mounting the upper into our vise with an action block, we slide the barrel into place. The barrel nut is tightened with a 1 3/16″ wrench, no specialized tools here. Wilson Combat includes a shim in case you run into indexing problems. The barrel nut is threaded on both sides. Installation begins by removing the six cap screws that secure the rail to the steel barrel nut. 4, 6, 8, and 10 notch rail section0s are available. The T.R.I.M rail includes one 4 notch panel. You could sync to your own WebDAV server instead-here's a guide to set up your own sync server. If you only want to use OmniFocus on one device, you could not sync it if you'd like. One more thing: on iOS, select the Push option in Settings, and turn it on to make sure your tasks sync in the background automatically. Then open your OmniFocus Preferences (press CMD +, on your Mac, or tap the gear icon on iOS), select Synchronization, then choose Omni Sync Server and enter your account details. Just go to and create a free Omni Sync Server account. It's a free service to sync your OmniFocus account, and it lets you add new tasks via email (more on that later). The best way is with the Omni Sync Server. The first time you open OmniFocus, you'll need to decide how you want to back up and sync your tasks. Omni Sync Server keeps your tasks in sync across your Apple devices And in addition to the projects and lists you'll find in most to-do list apps, it also has tools to review your projects and organize them in ways that fit your work style.Īll you'll need is its apps (starting at $39.99 each for Mac and iOS), a free Omni Sync Server account to sync the apps between your devices, and some time to organize your tasks. OmniFocus's Mac and iOS apps-along with integrations and email support-let you quickly add tasks from anywhere. That's what makes an app handy-especially one like OmniFocus that's designed around GTD. What you do need is a quick way to capture ideas and tasks whenever you think of them, along with tools to organize those tasks and review them regularly. It could work just as well with a paper notebook or the Reminders app that came with your computer or phone. You can take it further-there's a full book on GTD, after all-but those basic steps will help you quit forgetting tasks and start getting more done. You'll write tasks down, organize and review them, then actually complete tasks instead of spending all your time trying to remember them. Reflect on your work, reviewing your projects to make sure the tasks are still relevant and to make sure you didn't forget anything. Organize your tasks, pulling similar tasks together to complete at once or grouping project tasks into a workflow so you do each step in order. Decide if they're really important-and if so, what action needs to be taken to complete them. For that, GTD is a 5-step process:Ĭapture everything that needs to be done by writing down your tasks, ideas, projects, and more.Ĭlarify your ideas. You'll then need a system to come back and revisit those tasks-and actually get those things done. Instead of remembering everything that needs to be done, write each task and idea down to clear out your mind. "Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them," says author David Allen in his book Getting Things Done. That's the core problem the Getting Things Done or GTD methodology tries to solve. When you're trying to remember the things you need to do, the ideas you just came up with, your long-term goals, and the stuff you need to pick up at the store this evening, odds are you'll forget something. Your brain can only remember so many things at once. It's easy to forget things we need to do-too easy, in fact. Your mind is for having ideas, not holding them. After the class reunion party, Taku learns that Rikako was visiting Tokyo instead of being at the reunion to meet "someone who likes to sleep in bathtubs." Later, back in Tokyo, Taku inadvertently has a glimpse of Rikako from across a train platform and runs to meet her. He was angry his friend had foregone a beautiful possibility on his account as the two watch the sunset and the ocean waves. While reminiscing about high school, Yutaka comments that he punched Taku because he was angry that Taku had held off on pursuing Rikako due to Rikako's mistreatment of Yutaka. Taku, Yutaka, and Yumi reconnect at a class reunion several years later Rikako does not attend. None of the three talk to each other for the rest of the year and all begin attending different universities. After seeing Rikako crying, Yutaka punches Taku for not standing up for Rikako, calls him an idiot, and walks away. She slaps him but runs away tearfully with regret. Taku sees Rikako defend herself from another student who tries to assault her and comments that he is impressed with the way she handled herself. The autumn school cultural festival arrives and Rikako becomes more distant from the other girls, many of whom openly dislike her. They argue in the corridor, where she responds by slapping him and he hits her in return. Yutaka also tells Taku that he confessed to Rikako but was brutally rejected, prompting Taku to confront Rikako in class. When he arrives, he becomes angry at the conversation, and chastises Rikako and Okada for being "bores."īack home, Rikako ignores Taku but tells her friends that they spent a night together. After exploring Tokyo and catching up on sleep at the hotel, Taku receives a call from Rikako asking to be rescued from her former boyfriend, Okada. The next morning, Rikako kicks Taku out so that she can change clothes to meet a friend for lunch. Taku offers his bed and attempts to sleep in the bathtub. Rikako, disappointed in her father, joins him and explains that when her parents were fighting, she had always sided with her father, but had now discovered that he was not on her side. Rikako's father thanks Taku, repays the loan, and arranges a room for him at the Hyatt Regency. When Taku and Rikako get to her father's residence, they discover that Rikako's father has already found a new lover. He races to the airport and goes to Tokyo with Rikako in place of Yumi. Out of the blue, a distressed Yumi calls Taku, explaining that Rikako had tricked her into coming to the airport on the pretense of a concert trip, only to discover that their real destination is Tokyo, tickets paid for with Taku's money. Rikako has not returned Taku's money and he wonders if she has forgotten. Rikako is academically gifted and good at sports, but also arrogant. He finds Yutaka with an attractive female transfer student, Rikako Muto, whom Yutaka was asked to show around. I found myself sheltering from hails of bullets on the deck of a ship, rattling off satisfying SMG headshots between enemy fire and feeling exhilaratingly like a World War 2 John Wick as the enemy did the same. Then it all went wrong, I missed a headshot, the soundmask stopped and I shot again, sending every painstakingly tagged enemy in my direction with a deafening loud single gunshot. On one occasion, I had crept around the Lorino Dockyard for hours, tagging every enemy and shooting only when mortar fire could mask my gun, saving every five minutes. That might be exactly what you want though. Don’t cover your sniper fire with a soundmask and your position will immediately be compromised, a dangerous red triangle appearing exactly where you’ve hidden Karl so perfectly. Even if you’re using suppressed ammunition, funnily enough soldiers will notice when their friends start dropping like flies. The murderous choice on offer is positively intoxicating.ġ1 essential Sniper Elite 4 tips to know before you play If you want to keep your distance though, there are few moments as satisfying as regulating your heartbeat before a well placed shot to a vehicle’s petrol tank and the resulting chain explosions causing nearby soldiers to dissolve in X-ray killcam as they dive for cover. Thinking boom raider as they go up in flames is totally optional. You could even rig a dead body with a trap and wait for someone to check for a heartbeat. Sure you could throw in a grenade and send enemies scattering, unaware of your position, or you could tag everyone in sight with your binoculars from a prone position on red tiled roof, and start blowing up areas of the environment. This means every tiny mission can become an enormous one. Underground tunnels might take you the back way into a facility, a tiny sewer grate will let you into the heart of an Italian castle being used as a guard post, clambering up a drain pipe and leaping onto a balcony might give you a whole new angle to pop that officer’s skull. There’s never only just one way in and you’ll constantly have to switch out your playstyle. But in hindsight, these compromises are fine since the performance boost on the PS4 Pro and the awesome level design make Sniper Elite 4 a rather interesting game to play through.Like Hitman or the later Assassin’s Creeds, you can choose exactly how you want to take on each objective. Movement is rather clunky, facial animations are dated and it is not pushing the hardware to its limit. Overall, Sniper Elite 4 is a decent looking game. Although a 1080p image buffer with higher frame rates are appreciated, we wonder why a checkerboard 4K with 30fps wasn’t implemented. Surprisingly, Sniper Elite 4 does not have a 4K mode it renders the game in native 1080p even if you play it on a 4K TV. The Pro version also benefits from improved lighting, faster loading times, increased draw distance, increase geometry level of detail, improved shadows, and increased image quality on reflections. There are frame rate drops here and there but overall, the performance is way better on the PS4 Pro. On the PS4 Pro we see a 60fps cap and for the most it does manage to hold that target. The performance for the most part doesn’t feel bad but a locked 30 fps cap would have been definitely appreciated. This is because Sniper Elite 4 runs at an unlocked frame rate on the PS4. Nearby objects sometimes take a bit of time to load and the overall the game’s performance feels a bit off. However the PS4 version suffers from aliasing issues. Both versions run at a native 1920 X 1080 resolution resulting into decent image quality overall. If you are a console gamer then you should be playing Sniper Elite 4 on the PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro. For a game that doesn’t really have a big budget than your usual AAA game, this is indeed a remarkable achievement by Rebellion. There is a sense of verticality to them instantly reminding us of 2015’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. But more than the size, it’s the intriguing design applied to them. Developer Rebellion claims that these maps are multiple times bigger than the ones found in the previous games and boy, they are indeed huge. This is primarily due to the game’s huge maps. Taking a deep breath as your aim reticule gets smaller and smaller and then finally pulling the trigger to see that perfect cinematic shot of a head blown to bits never gets old in a Sniper Elite game but with the fourth iteration, it’s even more satisfying. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as popping a bullet in someone’s head using a sniper rifle from a really long distance in a video game and this is what Sniper Elite 4 is all about.
